PALATINE, Ill. – The Illinois law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, P.C. has been retained to represent one of the women who was viciously attacked by two dogs in Palatine last Tuesday. The woman’s small dog was killed in the incident.
Around 6:50 p.m. on May 25, 31-year-old Amanda Ingram was walking her West Highland White Terrier near the intersection of Greeley Street and Washington Street when she and her dog were attacked by two dogs, a pitbull mix and Akita mix. Ms. Ingram was seriously injured as she attempted to protect her dog from the violent dogs. Sadly, her small dog did not survive the attack. Ms. Ingram says the two dogs that attacked her went on to attack another dog and its owner.
Ms. Ingram has since hired attorneys from Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard to look into her case and represent her in a possible cause of action.
“We love our dogs, but at the end of the day they are animals with potentially unpredictable behavior. Owners need to be aware of these things and control their animals. When owners fail in that respect, they must be held accountable,” Plaintiff’s attorney Brian L. Salvi said.
Ms. Ingram is also represented by attorney Michael J. Schostok of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard.
