CHICAGO (May 23, 2024) – Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard attorneys Aaron D. Boeder and Michael J. Schostok recently obtained a $500,000 personal injury settlement. The recovery was made on behalf of a woman injured after a steer charged her while on the defendants’ property.
The Plaintiff was renting a home on the Defendant’s property that had numerous animals living in it. On May 30, 2019, the Plaintiff saw a steer had escaped from his enclosure. Defendants were not home at the time, so she stepped outside to “keep an eye on him.” The steer charged at Plaintiff, knocking her down and breaking her wrist, resulting in a permanent pain condition.
