CHICAGO (October 19, 2024) – Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard recently obtained an $8,975,000 settlement on behalf of the family of a 62-year-old man who was killed in a truck crash on I-294.
Just after midnight on July 17, 2021, Plaintiff was stopped in traffic on northbound I-294 near mile marker 16.5. El Zarco had been contracted by the company Roadrunner to transport Amazon and Grainger products to Illinois. Roadrunner had a $10 million policy limit, in addition to $1 million in coverage from El Zarco and the defendant truck driver. The $11 million settlement was divided between the 3 plaintiffs, with Plaintiff’s family receiving $8,975,000, one injured party receiving $1.875 million, and the other injured individual receiving $150,000.
