CHICAGO (December 17, 2018) – Three new laws aimed at protecting drivers. bicyclists and pedestrians will take effect at the start of 2019.
Under new laws that take effect in the new year, children under 2 will have to ride in rear-facing car seats, driver’s education courses will teach a method to prevent bicycle-dooring incidents and penalties will be stiffer for those caught texting while driving.
