UTICA, Ill. – The Illinois law firm Salvi, Schostok and Pritchard P.C. announced in a news release Wednesday that the firm was hired to investigate an explosion near Starved Rock State Park last week that killed two brothers and their nephew.
“There’s nothing to suggest that Inmer Rivera Tejada, 39, and Rafael Rivera Tejada, 36, and Guillermo Rivera Tejada, 26, were playing with black powder. What I can tell you is we have reason to believe and know that there were scheduled explosions and detonations that were set to go off on that day and did go off on that day,” the family’s attorney Tara R. Devine told the media Wednesday.
