CHICAGO (June 4, 2018) – While a high-dollar verdict like the one in Tierney Darden v. City of Chicago make headlines and spur gossip that “the tables are hot” in Cook County, a look at 10 years of data compiled by Jury Verdict Reporter paints a more sedate picture. Looking at the median verdicts over the last decade show that, high-figure statistical blips aside, the bulk of the verdicts are churning out consistently at a lower level.
