CHICAGO (January 10, 2019) – A trade show company shelled out $19.5 million to end an Iraq War veteran’s injury case Thursday after the Illinois Supreme Court refused to review a verdict over the life-altering accident. The Illinois Supreme Court had refused in December to take up the case. That left intact a ruling in which an Illinois appellate panel had reinstated the $3 million punitive damages portion of the jury’s $15.2 million award.
