CHICAGO (January 3, 2024) – Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard Managing Equity Partner and Schaumburg Boomers owner Patrick A. Salvi was recently named Sportsman of the Year by the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame this month.
“Since he launched the Boomers in 2012, the Boomers have been named Organization of the Year four times, with 10 consecutive seasons leading the league in stadium attendance,” the Hall of Fame’s statement of recognition reads. “In 2023 alone, the Boomers drew over 220,000 fans, ranking third among all MLB partner leagues with over 40 teams.”
The honor also recognized his ownership of the Gary South Shore Rails Cats in a different independent baseball league from 2008 until he sold the team in 2022.
