Patrick A. Salvi receives Illinois Bar Foundation’s Distinguished Award for Excellence

CHICAGO (October 23, 2023) – Patrick A. Salvi Sr., Founder and Managing Equity Partner of the Law Offices of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, P.C., was honored as the recipient of the Illinois Bar Foundation’s “Distinguished Award for Excellence” at the 2023 IBF Black Tie Gala.

Each year, the Distinguished Award for Excellence honors an individual who has made remarkable contributions to the legal community throughout their career. Past honorees include distinguished members of the bench and bar.

This year’s IBF gala took place on Friday, October 20 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago (120 E. Delaware Place). The event featured a cocktail hour, full seated dinner, live and silent auctions, and music by the Ken Arlen Evolution Orchestra. Please click here to learn more about this year’s event.

“I am honored and humbled to receive this honor from the Illinois Bar Foundation. This organization’s mission is to ensure access to the justice system especially to those of limited means and to assist lawyers who can no longer care for themselves due to incapacity, what a noble cause,” Patrick A. Salvi said.

Mr. Salvi is a nationally recognized attorney who has been listed as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” since 2005. In 2017, Best Lawyers® named him the Plaintiff’s Personal Injury “Lawyer of the Year” in Chicago. He concentrates his legal practice in cases involving serious personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death and mass torts. He has achieved numerous record-breaking jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients, including serving as lead counsel on the trial team that won an Illinois record high $148 million jury verdict on behalf of a young woman paralyzed at O’Hare Airport. Under his leadership, Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard has obtained more than $2 billion in verdicts and settlements, including more than 340 cases with recoveries of over $1 million. Mr. Salvi is a former President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. In 2021, he received the Illinois Trial Lawyers’ Lifetime Achievement Leonard M. Ring Award.

Mr. Salvi says the thing he is most proud of throughout his career is establishing a firm that is able to help so many people.

Outside the courtroom, Mr. Salvi serves as Chairman of the Notre Dame Law School Advisory Council. Mr. Salvi and his wife, Lindy, have been married for 44 years and have 5 sons and 9 grandchildren.
