CHICAGO – On Monday, November 4, a group of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard employees participated in the holiday gift giving charity, Operation Christmas Child, which sends gift boxes to children in need around the world.

Each year, Operation Christmas Child, a project organized by the charitable group Samaritan’s Purse, sends thousands of shoebox gifts to children throughout the world. Since the mission began in 1993, more than 220 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. The entire process is made possible by individuals throughout the world who pack shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items.

Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard legal assistant Kirstin Berg became involved in the organization in 2013 when she assisted with the distribution of shoe boxes on a mission trip to Haiti. Kirstin was so moved by the children’s reactions to receiving their shoebox that she decided to start packing boxes herself in the years since. This year, Kirstin enlisted the help of her co-workers at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard and the group was able to put together more than 100 shoe boxes for the children.
