In 1982, Mr. Salvi founded the law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. (originally the law offices of Patrick A. Salvi) in Lake County, Illinois. He is the owner and Managing Equity Partner of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. Today, the firm has over 20 lawyers and is supported by more than 35 staff members in Chicago and Waukegan offices, including paralegals, nursing consultants, IT professionals, marketing and public relations personnel, and administrative/legal assistants. Mr. Salvi and his law firm have obtained more than $2.5 billion in verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients, including more than 350 multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
Patrick A. Salvi concentrates his legal practice on cases concerning serious personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and mass torts. Mr. Salvi has achieved record-breaking jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients throughout the state, including serving as lead counsel on a trial team that won an Illinois record-high $148 million jury verdict.
Mr. Salvi is one of the most prominent attorneys in the country and has been named to “Best Lawyers” for Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, and Product Liability every year since 2005. Mr. Salvi’s peers have selected him to the Illinois Super Lawyers Top 10 List every year since 2014 and Law Bulletin Media has named Mr. Salvi to three “Top Ten” lists every year since 2016. He was inducted into the Lawdragon 500 Hall of Fame in 2021 and in 2023, Mr. Salvi was the recipient of the Illinois Bar Foundation “Distinguished Award for Excellence,” which honors an individual who has made remarkable contributions to the legal community throughout their career.
In 2001, Mr. Salvi was invited to become a fellow in the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers. In 2013, He was appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases. Mr. Salvi is a former President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and served a three-year term (2010-2012) as Chairman on the Character and Fitness, 2nd District Committee of the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar. Additionally, Mr. Salvi is a former Chairman (2011-2023) and current member of the Notre Dame Law School Advisory Council and is a former adjunct faculty member at the University of Notre Dame Law School. He currently serves on the American Association for Justice Leaders Forum.
In addition to Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., Mr. Salvi has many other remarkable accomplishments. He founded Salvi Sports Enterprises in 2011 with his wife, Lindy, to hold a 100% interest in the Schaumburg Boomers. The Boomers are a professional minor league team with the major league baseball partner league, the Frontier League. The mission of Salvi Sports is to provide exceptional levels of fun, affordable family entertainment in safe, nostalgic yet modern environments—hometown baseball games. The Boomers have won four Frontier League Championships (2013, 2014, 2017, 2021) and three “Organization of the Year” awards. The Boomers consistently lead their league in attendance.
Outside of work, Mr. Salvi enjoys spending time with Lindy and their five sons and beautiful daughter in laws – Patrick(Julianna), David(Elena), Brian(Eirene), Chris(Christina) and Will(Amanda). He enjoys traveling across the globe, especially to his villa in Italy. But nothing brings him more joy than spending time with his nine grandchildren, soon to be 11, at their Country home in Woodstock, Illinois.
