CHICAGO (May 25, 2022) – The Illinois law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, P.C. has been retained to represent the family of a woman who was found dead in her apartment in a Rogers Park senior housing facility on May 14. The woman is one of three women who were found dead at the James Sneider Apartments on that date.
The family of Delores McNeely, 79, has hired Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard to look into the case and represent them in a possible cause of action. Ms. McNeely is survived by her two sons, Tyrone Williams and Jerome McNeely.
“At this time, we know the building received several complaints from residents about the units being too hot during a heatwave here in Chicago. Our law firm is thoroughly investigating this tragic incident to determine exactly what lead to Ms. McNeely’s death and who is to blame for this avoidable situation,” The McNeely’s family attorney Brian L. Salvi said. “Our hearts are with the McNeely family as they process the immense loss of their mother. We ask that the public please respect the family’s privacy as they focus on services for their mother. Our firm will issue a statement and further information as we learn more and file a civil lawsuit against those responsible.”
“We are saddened by the loss of our mother and are still processing everything that has occurred over the last two weeks. Her passing, and the passing of two other women in the building, was entirely preventable, and we look forward to holding those responsible to account.” Tyrone Williams and Jerome McNeeley said in a joint statement.
