PR Director Marcie Mangan interviewed on “How’s Your ePresence” podcast

CHICAGO – Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Marcie Mangan, was recently interviewed on the “How’s Your ePresence” podcast about the conceptualization and production of a podcast and how small and medium-sized businesses can best execute public relations and marketing efforts internally.

During the episode, Marcie discusses how small businesses can leverage public relations skills without a large budget or the resources to hire a full-time PR professional. Some tips shared during the discussion include:

  • Start off simple
  • Begin by building your social media presence and audience – Your audience will engage with the content they find most interesting, and that will guide the rest of your public relations strategy. Once you understand what resonates with your audience, the rest of your strategy is easier to plan.
  • Pay attention to details that will either help or hurt your brand – Make sure all your posts are spelled correctly and designate someone in the company to read all the content that is sent out before its published.

Marcie also told host Mark Galvin about the Beating Goliath: A Plaintiff’s Pursuit of Justice podcast that the firm recently launched to share their clients’ inspiring stories in a more personalized way. In the first batch of episodes of Beating Goliath, the firm shares the story of an Army veteran named Tom Neuhengen who suffered a devastating foot injury while working at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center.

Marcie explains that while starting a podcast sounds daunting, there are plenty of resources out there to support new podcasters in learning how to write their shows, what tools or other materials they may need, and even the best editing methods and software.
