Chicago Daily Law Bulletin: Good Samaritan hit by car gets $11M settlement

CHICAGO (November 4, 2021) – Attorneys Patrick Salvi, Aaron Boeder, Tara Devine, and Eirene Salvi recently obtained a more than $11 million settlement for a Dolton man who was hit by a car and lost his leg when he stopped to help a woman with her stalled vehicle.
The Plaintiff filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court in October 2020, alleging the defendant driver failed to control his vehicle, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to use his horn to warn nearby pedestrians and motorists and was driving at an unreasonable speed.
“[Lennett] has a pain syndrome that needs to be managed by a pain doctor. He will need periodic therapy. Also it will help compensate him for loss of income, because with this kind of injury, he has an impaired earning capacity,” Plaintiff’s attorney Patrick A. Salvi told the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.
