CHICAGO (November 8, 2021) – Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. is pleased to announce the firm was highlighted in Chicago Lawyer Magazine’s 2021 Settlement Survey as one of the top three law firms in the state of Illinois.
Each year, Chicago Lawyer and the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter — sister publications within Law Bulletin Media — examine the top reported settlements. This year’s rankings are based on 274 Illinois settlements of $500,000 or more submitted to the Jury Verdict Reporter between August 1, 2020 and July 31, 2021. The report includes confidential settlements for which the Jury Verdict Reporter editors were able to verify details between the parties.
“A full year of the courts operating remotely with only the rare jury trial due to COVID-19 has resulted in a significant decrease in the number of cases settled. Overall, there were 502 settlements with a total value surpassing $812 million, which are the lowest numbers in 10 years.,” Chicago Lawyer Magazine states.

In 2021, Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. ranked in the top three law firms in terms of reported settlements, settling 19 cases for a total of $95,395,000. The firm’s top case of the year was a confidential medical malpractice case that settled for $25,000,000. The case also represented the top reported medical malpractice case of the year in Illinois.
