CHICAGO (September 4, 2019) – The family of a 40-year-old woman who died from a brain bleed has settled its lawsuit against a Peoria hospital for $1.5 million. The settlement was reached Aug. 21, one week before trial was set to begin in Peoria County. The case was scheduled to come before Peoria County Circuit Judge Michael P. McCuskey.
