Rob L. Kohen joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2014 and was promoted to Partner in 2023. He focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, car accidents, truck accidents, bicycle accidents, construction negligence, and medical malpractice.
In his time with the firm, he has recovered more than $150 million on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Kohen has obtained a number of noteworthy verdicts and settlements while at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. In 2021, Mr. Kohen was part of a trial team that obtained a $21.05 million jury verdict on behalf of a woman who suffered a thoracic spine injury in a Maywood, IL car crash. In 2020, Mr. Kohen obtained a $20.5 million settlement on behalf of a man who was paralyzed and later died after the driver of a semi-truck fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into his home. The same year, Mr. Kohen obtained a $15 million settlement for a motorcyclist who lost his leg in a car crash.
Prior to joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., Mr. Kohen served as a law clerk at another prominent Plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Chicago for two and a half years.
Mr. Kohen is a graduate of the Chicago-Kent College of Law. At Chicago-Kent, he competed in the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition as a member of the law school’s nationally ranked Trial Advocacy Team.
He also earned the CALI award for achieving the highest grade in an individual class. Since his graduation, Mr. Kohen has been invited numerous times to speak to current Chicago-Kent students on the topics of medical malpractice and personal injury law. In 2023, Mr. Kohen was the recipient of Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Outstanding Young Alumnus Award, which recognizes an alumnus/alumna who graduated from Chicago-Kent within the past 10 years and has made an outstanding contribution to the practice of law, the judiciary, or the media, among other reasons.
Additional credentials and distinctions include: membership in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, American Association for Justice, the Chicago Bar Association and the Chicago-Kent Alumni Association.
In his free time, Mr. Kohen is a highly accomplished athlete. Since 2011, he is a six-time Ironman 70.3 finisher, three-time USA Age Group National Championship finisher, two-time Ironman finisher and two-time marathon finisher.
