WAUKEGAN, ILLINOIS – Prominent attorney Patrick A. Salvi, 54, a past Distinguished Alumnus Award Recipient for Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, has been appointed to the university’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Salvi will assist in overseeing the school’s offices including admissions, student development, alumni relations, financial affairs, and the university’s presidency.
Founded in 1912, Saint Mary’s is a vibrant and exciting educational institution (with campus locations in Winona and Minneapolis), which today meets the needs of over 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually through its rich, contemporary, curricular offerings.
Prior to attending the University of Notre Dame Law School (1978), Mr. Salvi graduated with his B.A., cum laude, from Saint Mary’s University in 1975. He was awarded Saint Mary’s highest alumnus honor in 2005, and received a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, in 1999. Mr. Salvi also has served Saint Mary’s as a past keynote speaker and frequent guest lecturer.
“I received an exceptional education from Saint Mary’s University,” said Patrick Salvi. “It’s quite an honor to have this opportunity to give back to my alma mater… to work with the Board of Trustees in their continued efforts to provide students here with a world class educational experience.”
