Donald R. McGarrah concentrates his practice of law in the areas of complex personal injury, medical malpractice and commercial litigation, for local, regional and national clients of the Firm. Additionally, Mr. McGarrah serves as the Firm’s general counsel. He has successfully resolved matters as lead trial counsel in 37 different states, consistently obtaining superior results.
Mr. McGarrah has recovered verdicts and settlements totaling over 19 million dollars on behalf of clients since joining the Firm in 2003.
His extensive experience includes service as national trial counsel in the defense of product liability matters in a number of different jurisdictions around the United States, as well as service as trial counsel for physicians in the defense of complex medical malpractice matters.
Additional distinctions and credentials include: recipient of the Everett Hulverson Award of Excellence in Trial Practice from St. Louis University School of Law; member of the Trial Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association; former Sustaining Member of the Product Liability Advisory Council; and former member of the Defense Research Institute, Product Liability Subcommittee.
